This Session we will be exploring Raku Pottery!!
Raku is a process by which pottery is fired at a relatively low temperature and then moved while hot to a closed container with combustible materials (such as paper or sawdust) that ignite and cause a reaction creating colors and patterns in the pottery surface. We will create one functional object and one animal figure. The final class will take place on Saturday September 14th at the Brickyard Ceramics so we can complete the last step of firing.
All supplies included for $150
Classes include: All Materials, instruction on hand-building techniques and final Raku firing.
